Originally from Queens, NY, Dawaud Hasan has been a San Diego native for 20+ years. He is the founder of the San Diego Hiphop Health and Wellness 5k and Festival and the founder of Diamond Minds, a Community Based Organization that specializes in creating unique events and programs in underserved communities that stimulate growth and education. The overall goal of the Hip Hop 5k is to create a surge of positive energy and forward thinking in the San Diego residents.
